Corona RP 3230 ratchet hand pruner
The Corona RP 3230 changes the cutting motion by using a ratchet to advance through a cut in stages. It is intended for right- or left-handed use and combines a non-stick-coated blade with stainless steel rivets. Corona lists a three-quarter-inch capacity and a squeeze-to-release lock. The practical reason to consider it is a preference for staged hand movements over one continuous squeeze, not an assumption that ratcheting makes every branch easy. Compare how naturally you can release and re-engage the mechanism while keeping the blade positioned. For occasional tougher stems, that different rhythm may suit your routine; for many small repeated cuts, decide whether the extra movements are welcome before making it your only pruner.
